About Me

Welcome to my doorstep!

Here’s a little information on me…

A woman, a mother, a wife, a hairstylist, a substitute teacher, and a student. These are a few characteristics of myself. Among that list is the word “student.” I am an Elementary Education major with a dual major is Writing Arts. I enjoy working with children, I adore writing, and with both I can use my creative side.

In order to prepare myself for a future career in Education I have gained a lot of experience substitute teaching. Up until recently, I have spent the last two years as a substitute teacher.  I have about seven different districts that I work with to fill in for their absences. I also worked a long-term position in a self contained classroom with children with special needs. These children ranged from kindergarten to second grade. This long-term position was available for me to keep but I decided to leave in January of 2020 because I wanted to return to college to finish my bachelors degree.

I received an associates degree in Education at Camden County College. I began attending Rowan University in 2014 and took a break in 2017 when I gave birth to my daughter. During my time off from Rowan, I completed my substitute teaching program with Source4Teachers and began my journey as a substitute teacher.

My goal is to complete my degree, find a position in an elementary school, preferably with kindergarten or first grade, and also use my writing skills within my career in someway. Finally, in writing, my husband and I also hope to write a children’s book someday.

Find a quiet place, use a humble pen.
